Baby stuff

My friend is having her baby shower this weekend and I will be in Utah during it so I'm missing out on all of the fun. I wanted to do something different this time and try to make stuff on my own instead of buy it. I think it turned out pretty good.. not too bad for my first time with a lot of these things. anyways no tutorials cause I don't even know how I did it, I basically just made it up and made lots of mistakes and tried fixing them, but easy peasy stuff, did it all in about 2.5 hours which I thought was pretty good time.

 Binki clip
 Bib
 Blanket

 Burp Cloth
isn't our carpet awesome :)

this baby has the CUTEST ROOM! So hopefully this will go along well with it!

Dear world

please forgive my lack of blogging.. between being married only 81/2 months, My Dad passing away 3 months ago, school, work, in process of changing jobs, dating, babysitting, spending time with family, vacations etc I have had NO TIME TO BLOG!! Forgive me will you, not that anyone reads this besides my sister anyways.. thanks Staci.. ;) While I have gone through some tough times recently I have also been so blessed! I am now a Beehive advisor in my ward and LOVE it. I teach the most amazing young women! I am switching Jobs next week, and very excited for this new adventure, but between everything I am trying, i mean TRYING to be a better wife. Not that my husband has said I need to be better because he is amazing and never would say anything like that(really though he is amazing) I KNOW I can learn and do a lot more! So, in my attempt to try to make better food, or for that matter make food at all, decorate, clean etc I promise I will be better about posting on here- to remind my self how far I am coming.. :) now that I have rambled on about nothing and finished it off with incomplete run on sentences I will leave and actually do some things I need to do, like pack for my trip to Utah tomorrow.... no..I don't procrastinate at all.. ;)

cupcake puff balls

I don't think I know how to use a computer.. anyways I made these puff balls for decorations for a bridal shower last night and they turned out so cute! It took me about 50 liners per ball.. can vary depending on how full you want them.

Update on the married life- So fun. We have been having a blast being married, hanging out with our friends, spending time with the families, and eachother, and decorating our cute lil house. :) Being married is acutally a lot better then anyone ever made it seem :) Its the best!
This is Jordans uncle Shaun. He is in a motorcycle race that started about 4 days ago here in Mesa and it goes thru all 48 states. there are a ton of rules and its way hard core, he is doing awesome! Keep him in your prayers to be safe and win the big prize :)

Tea bags- what can you do with them?

Okay so in high school my friends would always ask me the most random questions and I always would know something that would help... probably comes from my mother mostly but I realized that tea bags, yes tea bags, those things that people use to make drinks with even though I think they smell TERRIBLE- are super useful. So here is my advice. Go buy a box of tea bags to keep at your house, you can buy a pack of 100 at the dollar store, probably not the best quality to drink but it doesn't matter because its not to drink! Also every use of tea bags that will be listed is for used tea bags, so if you wont be drinking tea first (like me) then just rinse it under water for a minute to get the effect.

- BURNS, any kind almost, I dont know about sunburns though. If you burn your hand on a hot pan, the stove, a curling iron, anything to that nature - After you rinse your tea bag under water put it directly on the burn, it helps to put a wet paper towel on top a. so you dont have to touch the tea bag and b. so keep it moist. After about 5 min you will feel the pain basically dissappear. its AWESOME!!

-Broken nails. This only works if you crack a nail not if it completely comes off. But it keeps it lookin good until your nail grows out and you can cut it off. This does not require getting your tea bag wet. Simply just cut the tea bag open and dump out the stuff inside then cut a little piece of the actual bag off big enough to cover your crack in the nail but small enough to fit on your nail. Put a clear coat of nail polish on the nail, put your little piece on top and press it down, and then apply another coat of clear to the top. It will keep your nail from snagging and breaking the whole way across!!

- Rose bushes and plants. Dump out the contents of the tea bag around your rose bushes and it will help them grow and the soil be more fertilized. Also if you have plants in a pot putting a tea bag at the bottom right over the drain hole helps fertilize the plant and keep the roots moist longer because the tea bag holds the moisture longer.. It wont flood it because it still will allow the water to drain it just helps to keep everything moist :)

- EYES. after you get your tea bags wet if you place them on your eyes it helps reduce PUFFY eyes. ALSO..... if you have a STY in your eye putting a tea bag on helps it go away faster!! This one helps if your tea bag is warm/hot

- WARTS. Black tea helps reduce warts. get your tea bag wet and apply directly to wart aprox. 3 times a day and you will see it get smaller and smaller!

- SOAKING A POT OVER NIGHT TO GET CAKED ON FOOD OFF? throw a tea bag in and it helps the food come right off!!

- Antiquing anything. Paper to make it look old, scrapbooking etc. Fabric, wood. it works for all you just have to be okay with the smell until it goes away.

- pressing a wet/used tea bag on a zit you feel comming in helps! It makes it go away or at least be smaller.

- and if you have wood floors you can put some tea bags in the water for a few minutes and it helps keep the color of the wood lookin fresh.

well folks. thats all I can think of for now! Have fun and let me know if you know any other uses for tea bags :)

We are blessed

I have the greatest parents in the world, and so does Jordan. How can they both be the greatest? well.. they are so lets just say we are two lucky kids. We have truely been so blessed, so much hard work went into our wedding and it turned out to be the perfect day! Anyone who is married knows that you are so grateful for anything that is given to you! Well.. I would say we have started off pretty lucky.

We came home from our hotel to this. Our house stocked, we wont even have to shop for food for the first while! I seriously wanted to cry when we walked in, we have everything from paper towels and peanut butter to milk and eggs. We couldnt believe it, we feel so blessed to have such great families. non of this would have happened without them, and I dont mean the food... I mean finding my best friend to spend eternity with. Bescause they made us both who we are and prepared us for our futures. I love you mom and dad and mom and dad Brown. Thank you for all you do for us!!

Speaking of being blessed. a big thank you to the Crismons because they are letting us live in their basement and we LOVE it!
-to all the wonderful people who worked in the kitchen for the reception
-to all my brothers and sisters/in laws for working so hard putting everything together
-to my friends who have supported us from day 1
-to Aunt Donna, Kelci, and Abby who came from out of state for the wedding, and all of Jordans aunts, uncles, counsins and grandparents who did the same.
-and everyone else who has supported us and helped us in any way!
THANK YOU!!!
